George married Mercy Moore in 1842. Mercy (daughter of John "Johnnie" Moore and Mary McKinstery) was born on 9 Dec 1816; died on 17 Nov 1877. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

John married Mary McKinstery on 20 May 1812. Mary was born on 18 Feb 1792 in Pottersville, New Jersey; died on 20 Mar 1855 in Tweksbury, New Jersey. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The Genealogy of Capt. George Moore was done by Darnel Chester Philhower, Willard, Ohio, who mother was Hannah Elizabeth Moore, daughter of Maurice and Hannah Davies Moore. It was found in the effects of Robert Allan Moore and Ruth Miller
Moore. It was dated as being received July 30, 1964, too late to be included in their book "The Ancestors of Richard Allan Moore and Calvin Copper Moore" The work Darnel Chester Philhower was done in 1940. His sources are Spruce Run Church,
NJ records.



George Moore residence was near Germantown, NJ, now called Oldwick. He is buried in family plot Lutheran Cemtary, Oldwick, NJ.



Some of the Mohr's never changed the spelling of their name. They came from the western part of Pennsylvania to settle around Tiffin, Ohio.

George married Elizabeth /Crater Crator on 15 Feb 1785 in New Germantown, New Jersey. Elizabeth (daughter of Moritz Crater and Maria Margareta Wintermute) was born on 14 Dec 1766; died on 3 May 1807. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
